http://www.clubdegolfaloha.com/ Noticias RSS Aloha Golf The PGA European Tour has announced that Aloha Golf Club will be the venue for the 2012 Open de Andalucia to be played from 15th March to 18th March.   The members of Aloha, when asked in a recent poll, voted in favour of hosting the event.   Members are encouraged to act as volunteers for this event and your support will be greatly appreciated.   The course will be closed from Saturday 10th March to Monday 19th March.   The course will re-open to members from Tuesday 20th March.   We are currently negotiating special prices at local golf courses during the period the course is closed.   Further information concerning members will be published shortly on our website.     You can read the PGA announcement by clicking on the link below:   http://www.europeantour.com/europeantour/news/newsid=153517.html#open+andalucia+returns+aloha+gc   We are confident the event will be a great success for Aloha and will have the support of all of our members.   Our course will be in the golfing spotlight and will be seen by more than 300 million viewers worldwide. Wed, 01 Feb 2012 00:00:00 +0100 On Friday 16 December at 6.30 Aloha Golf Club dedicated a tribute to Jose Luis Mangas in the Clubhouse who was supported by his family, friends and colleagues.   Important personalities relevant in the existence of our Club also attended the event. Javier Quiles, member and former General Director of Inmobiliaria Bilbao, who directed and executed the Aloha Project, Enrique Canales, honorary member, who managed and set in motion the Club from its very early days and continued for many years, Pedro de Ibarrondo, member and son of the founder and first President of the club, Mr. José Mª Ibarrondo, Andrés Jiménez Junior, in representation of his father Andres Jimenez Senior who created with his friendly character the golf school in Aloha, Richard Katz, ex President of Aloha who appointed José Luis Mangas Golf Director, and a lot of members who wanted to be with José Luis in this special evening.   The President Mr. Rafael Fontan, on behalf of Aloha Golf Club, gave a silver plaque to José Luis in gratefulness and acknwledgement of all his years of work and loyalty to this club.     Mon, 19 Dec 2011 00:00:00 +0100 We invite our members to the tribute event in honour of Jose Luis Mangas that will be held on Friday 16 December at 6.30 pm in the Clubhouse. The construction company is trying to minimize the inconveniences and guarantee the security while continuing the use of the facilities.   To access to the restaurant, besides the ramp next to the office, you can do it through the par three holes course. This practice will increase the percentage of Bent grass compared to Poa. It is now when we can do it as the new seed cannot stand the heat of the middle of summer.   The greens will have some sand and will be over-irrigated for a couple of weeks. It was very uneven and with the grass in very bad condition. Additionally it had few playable positions and we thought it was the right time to improve it. On Tuesday the turf will be laid out and it will be playable in two more weeks. In the meantime the rear and front platforms will be alternatively used. According to Luis Navarro, General Manager of Aloha Golf Club: "this certification will help us improve the service we give to our members and the image of the Club, be more efficient and be able to give the best service to our members and guests.
